Lena, new to dance and salsa rueda joins us at Bailamos Salsa Rueda. She says, "From the moment I step onto the dance floor and until the last minute of a salsa rueda class, I feel strong, happy, and full of life. For the entire hour it is music, new dance moves, friendly faces, words of encouragement, and laughter. I would recommend Bailamos dance studio to everyone!" Her husband noticed that she has been having "FUN FROM DAY ONE."

Carol, an experience dancer with us wrote: "Bailamos Salsa Rueda rocks. The dancers are the nicest group of people, warm and friendly. This is just pure and simple fun!!!!!"

Bailamos Salsa Rueda is a team of dancers who have a shared vision. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment for everyone to learn salsa, the music and meet great people. We are committed to seeing the growth and establishment of Salsa Rueda in our local and greater community.

We also feel strongly about working with other local groups in our extended family of salsa rueda dancer in the greater bay area. We desire to support and learn from each other creating bonds of trust and camaraderie.

We want to touch Santa Cruz with our love of Salsa Rueda. We want to see people enjoying themselves dancing in rhythm to the beat of salsa music all the while learning how to lead and follow moves that look fabulous.

Personal thoughts:
Bailamos Salsa Rueda teaches classes three nights a week to all levels of dancers at the Portuguese Hall by Harvey West Park and performs in the community for special events and fundraisers. As a dancer my history begins as a child. As an instructor of Israeli Folkdance it begins in my teens. By my twenties I was teaching and performing with a local troupe mostly for weddings and other functions. Exposed to several different styles of dance, salsa soon became my favorite. Eight years ago I began dancing and perfoming with Salsa Rueda Santa Cruz. Three years later I began one its primary instructors. Last year I and other instructors started Bailamos Salsa Rueda to offer more dancing opportunities to the people of Santa Cruz.
